Going to Orlando

August 28th, 2010

**½

Orlando, what do you expect to see there? The first thing that comes to me is Disneyland!! I’ve been wanting to go there since a long time ago but too bad I don’t have the money and the time to spare. One day, one day I’ll be there. Cross my fingers…

Wonder what else of activities orlando you can do there besides having fun in Disneyland? Let’s see… Shopping! You will definitely enjoy the joy of orlando shopping. This is why I need more money. Having money to buy the flight tickets, pay for accommodation, and apply for visa is not enough. I need money to shop there! How can I resist shopping??!? The trip will not be satisfying one if I don’t get to shop there.

Besides that, it will be the food!! Dine in restaurant orlando is a must. I’m sure you have to eat during your period of stay there, so it’s natural for you to take this opportunity to try the yummy food there. I’m going to conquer as many restaurants or eateries as possible when I’m there.

For now, it’s just a dream for me. I’m sure I will have the opportunity to go to Orlando one day. Can’t wait to visit Orlando Disneyland!

Weird Weather Pattern

August 18th, 2010

**½

Notice that these days the weather pattern is quite different compare to the past years?

Usually at time like this we are experience haze and hot weather, hardly any rain but not this year. It’s been raining almost everyday if you notice. One moment the sky was so bright and next it would rain cats and dogs.

According to the news, the weatherman has warned of more rainfalls as precipitation is expected to rise above normal in the days ahead. And for the rest of next week, thundershowers are forecast. More rain is forecast until the middle of this month. So those living in flood prone areas must be prepared.

A break in the rainy spell is expected with the advent of La Nina from the end of September till mid-October. It should be quite dry during this period.

The weather will revert back to its normal pattern by the end of the year when precipitation is expected to escalate.

Register Yourself as Voter

August 12th, 2010

Well… Have you register for the coming election. It’s around the corner, it will come soon. Make sure your voice is counted by then.

For example, if someone registers in August, the registration will be categorised as third quarter, which is from July to September. If everything is going smooth, the voter could be gazetted in October or by late November.

So? Just go to your nearest post office to get the form and register, very easy, you don’t have to pay a single cent also.

There were series of programmes lined up yesterday. Didn’t have much information on it though. Took some photos and left.

One of the programmes yesterday was dance performances.

There were on-the-spot tests available, test for glucose and cholesterol. Not sure whether it’s free or with a minimal fee.

Before the end the afternoon stage programmes, a group photo of the organizers and sponsors.

It would also serve as a guideline for the government to provide appropriate infrastructure to the people. The data would also reflect the socio-economy status of the people.

All data collected would be kept confidential.

Kampung Panchor Dayak Hot Spring

July 20th, 2010

**½

I’m sure not many people know about the Hot Spring at Kampung Panchor Dayak. It’s located at 22 Miles near SMK Tun Abdul Razak.

This is about 6.7km to Kampung Panchor Dayak , you will pass by a Chinese cemetary too. Then drive a distant of rocky road, you’ll reach the place.

Due to the lack of development, not many Kuchingites know about this place.

You need to pay for the entrance., RM3/entrance.

As you can see the facilities were not something to rave about due to the lack of fund. You can see various photos and reports about this place.

Not many people know this place, not much publicity about this place.

There’s basic facilities such as toilet and changing rooms or the public.

According to the report, no one knows how deep is the hot spring, they tried using 20m high wood pillar to measure the deepness but still couldn’t not reach the bottom of the hot spring. That is deep!

The opening hours is from 8am-7pm daily.

The water was clean enough. You must make sure you don’t contaminate the water by peeing or pooing in there. If you are having your period, you should not dip in the hot spring too.

This is the source of the hot spring. Could see bubble bubbling there. It must be very hot.

It was feature in a local paper in 2004.

If you are interesting pay Kampung Panchor Dayak Hot Spring a visit, make sure you do some exercise to warm up, then slowly put your legs in, then your waist, then your upper body. Do not dip your whole body into the hot spring directly, you must let your body slowly accustomed to the temperature.

Do not stay in the water for too long, make sure you drink plenty of water after that to avoid dehydration.

The eatery that you can find there but we didn’t dine there.

Time to head home.

Just a small note, after soaking at hot spring, you will smell of mud. That’s the down side of it.
