Need a Holiday!

October 15th, 2011

**½

OH WOW! It’s been awhile not updating this site. The person who maintains this blog is currently not in Kuching but have been enjoying holidays New York!

Hahaha… Actually… Not New York. It’s Adelaide but not for holiday but for an extended stay. Therefore not in Kuching to be able to keep up to date to what’s hot or happening around Kuching. That’s why it’s been quite some time not updating anything. Too busy also. Really need a holiday badly. Have been busy with studies. There’s not even any study break or even any long holiday due to the schedule.

Should start updating this site. Can’t promise much but will try to update as often as possible but can’t have exclusive news or be on the spot to cover any events happening around the city.

Apparently Adelaide is very much like Kuching. Especially the post office’s building which is almost similar to the general post office in Kuching. Not much events here and once there’s any major event going on, everyone will flock to the event, also very much like Kuching *LOL*

I bet New York will be different. Maybe a holiday to New York after this? Just need to have the money for it.

This year, it will be from 30/7/2011-21/8/2011 at Dewan Masyarakat as usual. Something extra this year though, you’ll find a section with halal food stalls for the Muslims to break their fast. Isn’t that great?

Also, do avoid the road around the area if you don’t want to get into the jam.

Have fun people!

Main Bazaar will soon be a One-way Street

July 23rd, 2011

**½

In case you don’t know, Main Bazaar will be a one-way Street soon but there is no date on when it will start. Guess you just have to take note of it in the newspapers. However, it should happen some time this year.

Once completed, it would resemble the popular Orchard Walk in Singapore. Hmm… Can’t imagine…

The whole area starting from the taxi stand at Market Street right up to the Tua Pek Kong temple would be turned into a one-way street. The street lights in the middle of the road would be put to the roadsides.

The pedestrian walk along the stretch would be eight metres wide providing ample space for the people to walk while maintaining the smooth traffic flow at Main Bazaar.

We’ll see how it will turn out. It’s a RM20 million project!
